Nick Churchill - Gemmotherapy: a practical guide to "plant stem cell medicine"

Date: Monday 10th September, 9h-12h30

Workshop Summary

Gemmotherapy remedies are made from the buds and young shoots of trees and shrubs - embryonic tissues, rather than the adult parts used in herbal medicine. They are rich in plant growth hormones, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. They also contain plant stem cells in a phase of rapid division and differentiation, making them highly energetic remedies. In fact, gemmotherapy has been called a "super-active phytotherapy", capable of draining, treating, regulating and nourishing all at the same time. This workshop is intended for anyone who wants to try gemmotherapy in their own practice, giving them all the tools they need to get started. Participants will get to know the most important gemmo remedies and their application in the treatment of some common clinical conditions. Gemmotherapy has a special role in the drainage and detoxification of the various body systems, and it is here that beginners are likely to see the best results. We will look at the drainage of the major eliminatory organs and systems in detail. Practical considerations such as dosage, remedy reaction and case management will be fully covered and the workshop will be accompanied by handouts and post-conference support from online resources.

There will also be time to discuss any questions you may have about gemmotherapy, in general or with regard to specific cases.
